work in progress 2.....

Do you remember this sketch? Well here's the painting in progress...there's still a lot to do and it's far from finish. I'm still not satisfied with the hair....but I painted over way too many times already. Any suggestions?
It's the first time I'm painting on an unstreched raw canvas...and though I've coated with a few layers of clear gesso it's still hard to rework the paint on it. So if I don't get it right at first...hard to fix mistakes later.
Anyway, I better get back to finish those wings! :)
